Why I started doing this

I've spent my career around people who couldn't speak up for themselves, and I've been the one who said something when I saw them treated badly. That habit didn't always make me popular with the people I worked alongside. It's also the entire reason this service exists.

Here's the gap I kept seeing: an older adult in a facility already has plenty of people who see them every day: aides, nurses, administrators. What they don't have is anybody from outside who verifies it. The organization providing the care is also the organization reporting on the care.

So I go in as someone hired by the family. I'm not on any facility's payroll, I have no referral arrangement with anyone, and I have nothing to protect. That means when I tell you things look good, you can believe it. And when they don't, you hear that too.

What I'm not

I'm not a home health agency and I'm not a care management company. I don't take over your parent's care, manage their medications, or change anything their doctor has ordered. They keep every person they already have.

What I do is come in from outside and check them the way a nurse checks someone: weight, vitals, skin, how they're moving. Then I write down what I found, and you decide what to do with it. That narrow scope is deliberate. It's what keeps me independent, and independence is the whole reason to hire me.
